Our Core Values 

Core values are the fundamental beliefs of a person or organization.  St. Brigid/Our Lady of Hope Regional School not only focuses on the educational growth and development of children, but also promotes positive social, emotional, and ethical habits and attributes. Every month, the school recognizes a student from each grade (K through 8) who exemplifies one of our identified core values.  We have identified, recognize, and encourage the values of:             
 

• Faith is the indefatigable belief in God, self, and others which comforts and sustains us in times of hardship, and leads us to hope.
  • “Faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen."     - St. Paul

• Kindness means selflessly treating all things with the respect, care, and dignity that each deserves. 
  • “Kindness is the language which the deaf can hear and the blind can see.”  - Mark Twain

• Integrity is the moral intelligence which allows us to navigate right from wrong and choosing righteousness, no matter how difficult.

• Respect means showing others that we value, honor, and appreciate them.

• Acceptance is the compassionate love and affirmation of all people, regardless of color, creed, ability, or any of the prejudices which divide us.

• Forgiveness means showing mercy and empathy towards others while eliminating anger, hatred, and vengeance from the heart and mind.

• Service is living the Gospel message of compassion and fraternity by helping others in need.
